Who provides leadership for theGod @ Center Retreat Cycle? Randy Kuss, a Disciples minister and youth ministries consultant with over 35 years of experience in congregational, regional, denominational and ecumenical youth ministries, served as Director of Youth Ministries for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the U.S. and Canada from 1995 to 2003, offering leadership training, keynotes, workshops, and music leadership for regional youth retreats and worked with the Disciples' General Youth Council on denominational youth events. A co-founder of the Disciples Youth Ministry Network, Randy now serves as Director of Christian Education and Youth for Speedway Christian Church, Speedway, Indiana. Randy was a participant in the Youth Ministry & Spirituality Project at San Francisco Theological Seminary 2001-2004. In 2004 he began leading God @ Center Retreats providing spiritual nurture and renewal for youthworkers and for other church leaders. He has been a contributor to The Journal of Student Ministries, YouthWorker Journal, DisciplesWorld, and The Disciple. He wrote the senior high materials for the 2007 New Earth camp curriculum. Randy is married to Deb Strock-Kuss, associate minister for Allisonville Christian Church. They have two children, Georgia, a recent graduate of Kenyon College, and Blaine, a student at DePauw University. He is a graduate of Phillips University (BA, 1975) and Phillips Theological Seminary (MDiv, 1980). Randy is a storyteller, song-leader, extremely occasional songwriter, and enjoys time with his wife and kids, their monthly "Gathering" of friends, as well as music, fishing, photography, walks, and his Mac and iPod. |
